| Lawrence Piano Studio Notes August 1, 2014 Hello!!! I hope this letter finds everyone in good health and enjoying your summer. We are beginning the process of scheduling lessons for Fall of 2014. Please note on your calendars: the first day of lessons is Monday, August 25th, the Monday before Labor Day. This year we are again beginning lessons a week earlier and will be taking 3 weeks off during the winter holidays. Spring lessons will begin on January 5, 2014. I have my complete 2014- 2015 school year calendar on my website www.lawrencepiano.com. I will be in and out of the office these next few weeks. This is the time of year when I schedule fall lessons and try to finish any home improvement projects. Please feel free to contact me by email or phone about lesson times, I will try to respond that day or the next. Below is a list of dates when we will begin contacting you about lessons times. Scheduling Private Lesson times: August 11-24: This fall, Jen Hosler will be working with the private teachers to arrange lesson times for students taking ½ hour private lessons. If you have any questions about scheduling private lessons, please contact Jen at jhosler1005@hotmail.com. You should receive a call from your private teacher during the week of August 11th to schedule a private lesson time. We will assume you are taking from the same teacher as last spring unless other arrangements have been made. If you are not planning on taking lessons this fall, please let me know as soon as possible. Scheduling Group Lesson times: August 4-10: Scheduling returning students that took hour group lessons in the Spring of 2014. August 11-24: Scheduling new students and returning students that took ½-hour Kindergarten/1st grade class, Spring of 2014, now taking 1-hour group lesson. Please feel free to schedule other activities your children may have. I usually have 2 or 3 classes at the same level on different days. We can usually work around conflicts. Daytime lessons Fall 2014: This fall we will continue to offer both group and private lessons during the daytime hours for students that are either homeschooled or available before 3:30 PM. Jen Hosler will be teaching these lessons. Jen began teaching at my studio in January of 1999. She started as a Piano Performance major and then switched to Music Education to complete her degree. Jen is a wonderful teacher and gets great results from her students. Fees for the 2014-2015 school year will be as follows. Group Lessons: Eric Sakumura and Assistants: 1 hour group lesson $68.00 per month* 1/2 hour group lesson $40.00 per month* Private Lessons: Eric Sakumura 1/2 hour lesson weekly $90.00 per month* Jen Hosler 1/2 hour lesson weekly $88.00 per month* All other teachers 1/2 hour lesson weekly $75.00 per month* *There is a $10/month discount for each additional family member ($5/mo for ½-hour class) You will be mailed or e-mailed monthly invoices that include lesson fees and a monthly newsletter with lesson and recital information.
